Japanese food is one of the most popular foods in Thailand due to its unique taste and ingredients. There are various options for Japanese dining, including shabu-shabu, Japanese BBQ, ramen, sushi, and more! When it comes to Japanese restaurants with the perfect balance in terms of taste, location, and quality ingredients, you can’t beat the five restaurants we will
share with you today.
1. Tonchin Ramen
This old Tokyo-style ramen shop is number one on the list! Tonchin Ramen’s reputation is demonstrated by the Michelin BIB Gourmand it received for three consecutive years. Despite Tonchin Ramen’s contemporary style, the ramen-making process still remains authentic.
Homemade ramen noodles are created using a special wheat flour recipe, hand-massaged for the right thickness. The pork bone broth is simmered with chicken legs for up to 12 hours to achieve a naturally sweet broth. Moreover, their homemade chashu pork is marinated in sugar from Okinawa and salt from Mongolia.
The must-try signature dish is their Tonchin Classic Tokyo Tonkotsu Ramen. Pork bone broth is simmered with more than ten types of dried seafood to give the broth a pleasant aroma and rich taste.
